Welcome to the final official newsletter of the semester, which will contain all the info you need for the last couple of weeks before the exam time begins! The exhibition launch on Saturday night was a huge success so thank you all for coming along. The exhibition is still up in Teviot (it came down for one day on Sunday if anyone noticed – sorry about that!) So if you haven’t checked it out yet, then make sure you do before Friday!

1. Wildlife Photography Talk by Mark Scherz
Friday 25th November, 7pm, Lecture Theatre A, Appleton Tower
This week our very own Mark Scherz will be given a talk on his experiences in the exciting field of wildlife photography. He will talk not only about the technicalities of taking great wildlife photos, but also the unique approach required to really capture the essence of an animal. He will be showing of pictures from his vast collection including pictures from his most recent trip as part of a research group to Madagascar. This is not to be missed!
2. Zoo Trip
Saturday 26th November, Meeting at 9.30am at the information near Princes Street Mall.
More information on this will be sent out later in the week, as Mark is still finalising the plans, so hold tight!
3. Events Photography and Pub Quiz
Friday 2nd December, 7pm, Highland Room Pleasance
Our final week is going to be split into two parts. The first hour will be a talk from our man in charge of the money, Mr James Killick, on how to cover an event as a photographer. This is ideal for those planning to attend Christmas parties and fancy taking along there cameras. Also useful for those looking for a possible way to start earning money from their camera.
The second half will be a Pub Quiz, with drinks on us! Beer, wine and soft drinks will be provided!
4. Shop
As we come towards the end of the semester the PhotoSoc shop is still carrying a fair amount of stock so come on down and pick up some of our bargain price film and paper!
